Bulldog Women’s Lacrosse recognized by IWLCA for Academic Awards

The University of Redlands Women's Lacrosse team was recognized Wednesday by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) as an Academic Honor Squad posting a cumulative GPA of a 3.59.

REDLANDS, Calif. - The University of Redlands Women's Lacrosse team was recognized Wednesday by the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) as an Academic Honor Squad posting a cumulative GPA of a 3.59.

The Bulldogs have now earned this distinction for the sixth time joining fellow Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC) schools Claremont-M-S, California Lutheran University, Chapman University, Occidental College, and Pomona-Pitzer on this elite list.     

The IWLCA has named 288 schools across Division I, II, III, and NAIA as IWLCA Academic Honor Squads for the 2022-23 academic year. To qualify for this prestigious honor, the women's lacrosse team must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year.

In addition, three players also earned individual accolades being named to the IWLCA Honor Roll.  These Bulldogs included seniors Nina Davis (Psychology) and Emma Beaver (Environmental Studies and HMS: Health, Medicine, and Society) along with junior Zoe Charum (Mathematics).   

The IWLCA honored 963 student-athletes from 173 different institutions on the 2023 IWLCA Division III Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for this honor, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.
